Experimentation, of course. That is the obvious answer if we have been kidnapped into a place where experiments are run on us. They have their own agenda and use us to test their procedures ahead of time.

And their goal in this experimentation? Their reasoning? [ This is far from something one does senselessly. It couldn't be on a whim, he doesn't think. ]

Don't expect them to communicate with you either. Whatever they are up to it can't be any good.
