[ Hey, these are just things that happen to everyone. Waking up with wings in unknown barrier-surrounded nature, finding one of your children playing in the fountain perfectly at ease and getting the majority of your information from her. Very fast-paced, quite nonsensical seeming information at that.

Luceti, thus far, could not make any less sense. This probably shows on his face. Which, depending on Luceti citizens' art recognition skills, may be somewhat familiar. The odds are... what they are.

Tenzin is grateful for the little communications crash-course Ikki so happily provided, though. He passes on writing out a message in pink marker, though. The journal will catch the end of this conversation before he diverts attention to the pages again. Clearing throat and 3, 2, 1. ]

Jinora, if you can hear this, respond immediately. Korra, Asami, the same applies to you. I've found Ikki- [ If the featured airbending child securely latched onto his neck is anything to go by, of course. And the 'please' after that "same applies to you" is implied, all right. ] I would like to make sure everyone else is all right, and hear about what's happened.

[ You know, to see which elements corroborate with what he heard of Ikki's experiences. Especially regarding who she's been staying with. Which he'll be seeing for himself in person later, of course, once his daughter goes through with all plans to march him to Avatar House like a new pet. So there's that much. ]

To be fair, there was a great likeness to compare you to. [Just going to point you here. Your daughter is a master artist, clearly.]

[ He'd imagine the entire village will know his family history with the help of his daughters. But then he's still that much more grateful for Aang having the knowledge ahead of time. At this age, the last airbender living- Tenzin coming up with something else to say for himself would have been difficult.

[ He felt that elbow, young lady. Which was the point, of course, so he can hardly say her methods aren't effective, but he'll raise an eyebrow at her in spite of everything- don't worry, we're handling the steps of meeting in the wrong order. She's a child; this situation isn't something she sees as overly complicated. Tenzin thinks he'll be grateful for that if they're here for long.

Katara is handling this admirably well, of course, which is to be expected when she's very much herself and very much as Southern Water Tribe as ever (just the other sort of stories he grew up with: you should know about your heritage). And his mother is a child. Not a child precisely, but not an adult. Maybe Korra's age. He hesitates. ]

You don't have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. [ Because quite frankly, it's all right to be uncomfortable when your son turns up this many years early and simultaneously half a century late. He can always explain the basic problem to Ikki, if it comes to it. ]

That's quite the number. [ And Lin is here. That's likely more good than bad, all things considered.

He wonders what the reason is for it. ] Has Tarrlok been causing any trouble?

Yes, that's definitely about what he'd expected. ]

I... I didn't expect it either, even with everyone else coming from the future. I really love your kids. They're amazing. But as bad as it is for people to be here, knowing them made me... really want to know you, too.

[He takes a few steps forward so that he is directly in front of Tenzin and looks up at the beard.]

...he's vaguely sure that name is familiar, too. There was a lot of talking being aimed directly at him, okay. ] How is it you know Ikki?

Three years, though, that can't be right. ] No one ever mentioned this particular point in history. It would have been very useful information to have.

There's a reason for that. It's. Complicated. While we're here, time stops. You probably didn't even notice that Ikki and Jinora were gone. And you never knew about this place because when we leave, we don't remember it.

[And. You're old. And this is so much weirder than two little girls showing up and taking his fiancee's old room. This is his sister's son. A full grown man, who would clearly remember Sokka being much older. A councilman and whatever else he had been. What are your cousins like? Do you have any?

Only for an hour or two. Outside of running into Ikki and... the people over this journal, I haven't had the opportunity. [ So you know, two of his children, two teens in his charge, two dead relatives, his mother and Lin's mother. With a couple of very polite in-betweens. ] How long have you been here?

[ By a few... decades. Not mentioning that.

But it's a good point that he's raising- Ikki and Jinora, gone for days, Korra and Asami as well, without so much as a hitch for the rest of them. Time stopping?

These are spirit shenanigans if ever there were a prime example. ]

[ ... Straight to the deep questions, then- the sort of thing he's heard all his life, sometimes joking, sometimes less so. It went hand in hand with having a more serious nature. And... with getting to a certain age. Possibly.

He can't be offended by it, honestly. Even if honest observations tend to be the most hard-hitting. Namely because of the fact that it's Aang, with his opinion of Ikki and Jinora earning a grand addition of leeway points besides. ]

[ More and more people on the list of "went missing and this should have been noticed." It's quite a shame. That was absolutely not a huff. ]
